Onkohan nämä näitä DDos-hyökkäyksiä vai yksinkertaisesti liian monimutkainen järjestelmä. Taas on treidaukset sisällä ja kylmä rinki perseen alla. Tähän asti olen säästynyt.

"Today’s site instability was caused by a conflict between software and a new roll-out which took place this morning. Unfortunately this software is particularly difficult to test due to the way it performs under live load compared to our simulations.

We do of course assure you that we test all our changes extensively before deployment, but live traffic is highly dynamic and difficult to predict.

At the time of the roll-out, the conflicts the new software would cause were not apparent. They did not start to become so until early in the afternoon, which is when the site started to run slow.

Each time we addressed the issue, it looked like we had solved it. However, by the time the site started to suffer a fourth time, we felt the only thing we could do was to take it down and reverse the roll-out, as the conflict was clearly not responding to our attempts to resolve it. External software conflicts are unfortunately very difficult to assess until they actually cause a problem.


We apologise for the obvious inconvenience that all these outages will have caused, and for the slowness in between each downtime. Rolling back to the position we had last night means we are confident that the same conflict will not reoccur, and we are looking at ways to implement the roll-out we want to effect, without the same problems resulting when we do so. We will not re-effect the roll-out until we have found a way to do so."

Tää on taas tätä, kumman usein noi Betfairin sivut on offlinessa, kun en ole asiantuntija, niin ihmettelen mistä toi johtuu, vilkkasta liikenteestä, hakkeroinnista vai mistä?

Toisaalta, olihan Veikkauksenkin sivuilla eilen häiriöitä, menettävät vaan tuloja firmat, jos sivut ovat kovin pitkään toimimattomina.

Tiedä sitten, lisäävätkö nuo kaiken maailman robotit tuota kuormaa niin paljon, ne kun päivittävät tietoja liki reaaliajassa toisin kuin perinteinen selain.
