11.12. Biathlon
Lähetetty:
Poiree - Gross 2 2.25 (nordic) (7/10)
This is at least 50-50 situation in my opinion, maybe even more for Gross. Gross was in last season 3rd in total points and 7th in sprint points. He also won silver medal in sprint in WC. Poiree was 4th in both total and sprint cups.
Germany had some major problems with skis in first start in Kontiolahti, so Gross lost 2.36 to Björndalen and about 1.52 to Poiree even though he didn´t make any mistakes in shooting (also Poiree 0+0). However in relay Gross was about a minute faster than Poiree (Gross used two spare ones and Poiree four) and in pursuit Gross finished only 1.06 after Poiree, so he was about 45 secs faster than Frenchman in that competition (Gross 1 miss, Poiree 5).
So I think both have about equal chances, but Gross has more to show. Biathlon is always biathlon, so don´t bet your whole fortune on this one...
Gjelland - Rostovtsev 1 1.85 (nordic) (4/10)
Gjellan 13. in total points and 23. in sprint cup, Rostovtsev 12. and 13. In Kontiolahti Gjelland was 10. in sprint and 5. in pursuit, Rostovtsev finished to places 12. and 15. In relay Rostovtsev was 15 secs faster, but I believe in Norwegian, he seems to be in better form right now.
Andreassen - Niogret 2 2.00 (4/10)
Beer - Ponza 2 2.10 (2/10)
Disl - Wilhelm 2 2.10 (2/10)
Bailly - Apel 2 2.30 (2/10)
All these are from Nordic too...
