Omiin silmiini Verdasco on vaikuttanut ainakin lupaavalta pelaajalta. Wimbledonissa Jarkko Niemistä tiukalla pitäneen Verdascon pelityyli muistuttaa paljon Gonzalesin. Eli peruslyönnit isketään kovalla voimalla ja syöttöpelikin toimii. Marginaalit ovat kuitenkin tällä tyylillä pelattaessa pienet ja jos ei peli lähe kulkemaan voi ruveta helppoja virheitä syntymään ja täksi en uskalla laittaa otteluun max panosta vaikka mieli niin tekis.

Tässä on kohde johon itse aion pistää hyvin ison panoksen. Tätä kohdetta on turha millään statistiikalla perustella vaan perusteluksi riittää se, että Koubek on loukkaantunut. Joten pelit sellaseen paikkaa, jossa panosta ei palauteta, jos pelaaja keskeyttää ei panosta palauteta.

Stefan Koubek again has some health problems at the start of the generali open. His back is ok again, but austrians nr. 1 is suffering from a belly muscle pulling.
His ability to move is strongly limited and he hardly serves during training - therefore confidence should be quite low said Koubeks coach Günther Bresnik on sunday.
Koubek has to face Nicolas Massu from Chile, currently in topform coming from the final in Amersfoort, on Thursday.
Under the current circumstances reaching the second round would be a huge success for Koubek, who reached the semis here twice - 1997 and 2001.
"If Stefan reaches the second round, we should be quite happy. But even if he would be topfit this would be a very hard match for him" added Bresnik.
Koubek: "This aint going to be easy, Massu is in topform and is coming with great confidence to Kitzbuehel."
Who cound be Koubeks second round opponent? - "We are not thinking that far" said Bresnik.
